Depending on the region being treated, you may be asked to remove clothing. It is helpful to wear loose or stretchy clothing and a bra that undoes at the back.

You are welcome to bring someone with you for support. It is recommended that any minors be accompanied to their appointments.

While it depends on the injury, it is typically advised to wait a 2-3 days for the swelling and/or bruising to reduce. For a more personalised response, please contact me with details of your injury so appropriate advice can be given.

If you have seen received treatment by me before, please book in as a return patient. If you have not received treatment from me before, an initial treatment appointment as a new patient is required.

The initial appointment will start with an in-depth discussion regarding the issue that is currently bothering you, as well as your medical history, lifestyle factors and anything else that may be deemed important. This is done to help with a diagnosis, as well as exclude anything that may require a referral to your doctor before treatment.
After this, an assessment of different movements will be performed, as well as possible orthopaedic testing that is deemed necessary.
The treatment itself may involve a variety of different techniques, such as soft tissue massage, myofascial release, articulation of the joints, visceral release work, gentle ligamentous balancing, cranio-sacral techniques, and cupping.
Everything will be explained before and during the treatment, and you will always be made to feel comfortable and informed of every technique and the reasoning behind it. If at any point, you feel uncomfortable or unsure, we advise you to say something immediately, and we can stop or change the treatment.
Following the treatment, you may also be given some at-home exercises, stretching or sports-taping.

This is very normal. While it may not seem like it at the time, the techniques used can be powerful and take a toll on your body. The theory is also that your body should be able to keep itself in balance but can struggle to do so following an injury. The techniques used only do about 5% of the work to nudge your body in the right direction, and your body then has to do about 95% of the work following the treatment.
Because of this, some patients feel tired, sore, grumpy, have a headache, can be more hungry or thirsty and can feel more emotional following treatment. This is usually only in the evening of the treatment but can last 1-3 days. It is common to experience a more significant reaction following the initial appointment.
It is recommended to rest following the treatment (no exercise besides a gentle walk). We also recommend drinking a lot of water and abstaining from alcohol or caffeine following the appointment.
If you are experiencing any on-going increased pain, or any other symptoms you are worried about, please call or email.

The goal is to get you feeling well enough that you don’t have to come back in. This is also done through continuous exercises and possibly some lifestyle changes that may be recommended.
However, you may feel that you would like to make regular treatments part of your wellness routine. If you have an on-going injury that you feel requires up-keep, or perhaps a job that is causing stress on your body, you may find that an appointment every 4-6 weeks helpful.

We require 24-hours’ notice if you are wanting to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows time to book in another patient who requires treatment into your cancelled slot.
We reserve the right to charge a late cancellation fee of 60chf per appointment. This policy also applies if you miss your appointment without any previous attempt to cancel it. This will be paid before booking any further appointments.
